My girlfriend pushes me away, what can I do?

I'm 16 and I really love my girlfriend but sadly she pushes me away... And I know why she does it. I wont go into too much detail but basically she's pushed away every other person in her life due to a bad childhood and such. I'm always there for her and support her decisions and it's like I put her on a Pedestal and treat her like she's a princess. But she pushes me away and she knows she does and she tries to not push me away. But she syill does it sub consciously. She's told me she doesn't want to continue to push me away. But she don't now how to stop since she's kind of been doing it her whole life. Which I can totally understand. Anyway what can I do? I show her my love and she knows I don't want to hurt her. But she still continues to push me away. I want to make this work. So what can I do? I'm SO lost. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I'm usually the person who can always tell, but he is sending me mixed signals. So we've been texting a lot (he usually doesnt text people that much) and we've hung out a couple times, we go to differnt schools too. Anyway last night, my friend and I went to his school football game cuz we know like everyone there ahah. He did not try to make any moves whatsoever, and I was talking to one of his friends and sorta being flirty withh him. Then after the game he texted me and was like "you meet *insert friends name* huh?" I was just like yeahh ahah he is cool. Do you think he was jealous or something there? Then we talked all day today and he said he wanted to hang out more! He is soo confusing help! ahha
