I broke up with my boyfriend.... does he still care?

So I broke up with my boyfriend of almost a year because he's been snapping, cursing, yelling at me a lot lately and it was pissing me the eff off. So we broke up and it sounded like he was crying so i asked and he said he was. He's begging for us to be back together, saying that he'll really change this time because he doesn't want to lose me I'm love the love of his life etc, and crying on the phone. He called me this morning and we're on the phone. I still really love him and want to be with him I just don't know cause sometimes he gets mad easily and idk maybe its a dumb reason. But anyways do you think he's really crying? He's acting really depressed but for some reason since i cant see the tears, I don't believe they're actually there. What do YOU think?
