I remember someone asking about why there is so much tension between blacks and police officers?

There are many factors involved in this complex issue. Bottom line is Black people and the Police have never had a good relation over the years. The police are simply instruments of a larger system at work. As Black people we must stop giving the reason to be in our communities haring our innocent citizens as if they were criminals. We as a people must police ourselves. We can continue to cry about the racist treatment the criminal justice system has shown us for centuries or we can not play the ridiculous, never ending cat and mouse game. All elements of the community are suppose to ultimately serve and suppose the family. This is not happening. Broken families equal broken communities which end up being breeding grounds for crime and death. In this situation police are treatment for the symptoms and not the cure for broken communities. Again Black people have had a terrible relationship with the police. This is no secret. Instead of trying to change the police we need to change the environment that invites the police in our communities to har those of us who are law abiding. We must be the change we seek in the world. This is the only way we will solve our problems.
