Is it a sign that the country is getting dangerously bad, when an anti gun person, wants a gun?

I know the feeling. I've typically been a pretty docile person and I don't ever know how to hold a gun, but I've been wanting to stock up on ammo and stuff like that just in order to have protection for what's about to ensue.
